On completion of this unit, learners will have the knowledge and application skills in preparing waste and recyclable waste collection activities, carrying out waste collection from Central refuse chute, Residential /Commercial / Industrial bin centres, Shophouses /Landed property / Bulky waste / Commercial / Industrial waste, carrying out recyclable waste collection from Domestic, Commercial and Industrial premises, discharging waste and recyclable waste, and reinstating work area at depot / heavy vehicle park.

Operations staff working in the waste managment industry who are performing waste collection activity.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) Level 2.
- Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills (ES) Level 2.
- Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employment Skills (ES) Level 2.

** To be eligible for the various fundings, the company has to update the company’s profile on https://www.skillsconnect.gov.sg/web/guest/applyforcompanyprofile. Thereafter, the company can apply for the various grants.
** Upon registration of the course and receipt of the invoice from WMRAS, submit your grants (training and absentee payroll) within 30 days before the course start date and no later than 30 days after the course start date.
Appeal & Reassessment
The Statement of Attainment (SOA) will not be issued to trainee who has been assessed as “Not Yet Competent”. Trainee who wish to undergo another assessment for a `Competent’ result will need to undergo training and assessment for the whole module again.
Where there are reasons to appeal against the assessor’s decision, an appeal may be submitted in writing to WMRAS within 5 working days from the assessment date stating clearly the ground(s) for appeal. If the appeal is successful, a fresh round of assessment will be conducted at a fee of $100. If the appeal is unsuccessful, the trainee will have to undergo the training and assessment again.
