About This Course:

This course is also known as the Certified Waste Auditor training course (CWA). CWA is an extension to the Zero Waste Manager Course (NEA-WMRAS) and is supported-in-initiative by the National Environment Agency (NEA), designed to equip sustainability PMETs with essential knowledge and abilities in waste audit and environmental sustainability solutions to enhance 3R culture and quantify 3R efforts. CWA certification will be the preferred waste auditor recognition for waste auditors performing waste audits in Singapore. This course leads to Environmental Services – Circular Economy – Waste Recycling and Recovery Management – EVS-BAS-0043-1.1 competency.

What You’ll Learn:

Learners will be able to perform waste audit tasks with “safety-methodology-analysis-actionability” in mind:

1. Align stakeholders on waste audit objectives and scope
2. Develop and plan waste audit
3. Execute the waste audit based on the scope and data collection methods
4. Analyze waste audit data and information
5. Compile a waste audit report and ensure the waste audit report leads to actionable steps for 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle)
6. Ensure proper documentation and monitoring of waste audit and 3R actionables

Minimum Entry Requirement:

Other than PMETs from hotels, malls, industrial premises and convention and exhibition centres who are responsible for submitting mandatory waste reporting, the target audience for this course will also include PMETs in the entire waste value chain (for example facility/building management companies, waste management companies, recycling facilities/companies, cleaning companies, logistics companies, pest management companies).
