Course Objectives:
Internet of Things (IoT) is transforming how we interact with the physical world by connecting physical devices, enabling data exchange, and creating opportunities for automation and efficiency gains. IoT implementations utilize interconnected devices and sensors in a network to collect real-time data on various environmental conditions, enabling proactive monitoring, analysis, and management of resources. This technology supports sustainability efforts across various sectors by providing insights into air and water quality, waste management, and resource usage. This course equips learners with the fundamental albeit essential knowledge and skills to analyse the information provided by the network/dashboard so as to apply and sustain operational needs in environmental services industry.
Course Content:
Learners will be able to analyse the information provided by the network/dashboard of an IoT-connected environment so as to apply and sustain operational needs:
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the control models, process control algorithms, strategies behind the automated system
- Perform task to interact with the IoT in an automated equipment
- Perform system information integration to analyse the big data
- Perform troubleshooting of connected physical devices and analyse the information
- Interpret robotics and network information to perform and schedule maintenance work with IoT
Entry Requirement:
The typical learner is aged 25 and above, has completed at least secondary-level education, understands basic concepts of physical devices, robotics, automation, information technology, network and data, and possesses a working knowledge of environmental services work activities.
