About Waste Management and Recycling Association of Singapore (WMRAS)

WMRAS, established in 2001, is the nation’s leading trade association for solid waste management. As a non-profit, WMRAS promotes best practices and facilitates knowledge sharing across the industry, working with businesses, government agencies, and the community to build a sustainable and livable environment.

WMRAS works closely with businesses, government agencies, and the wider ecosystem to accelerate the adoption of best practices and technologies. Our members span the entire waste value chain—from recycling and resource recovery to hazardous waste management—and include both local SMEs and global enterprises.

As Singapore’s representative in the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), WMRAS connects the local sector to international expertise and emerging trends. As an Approved Training Organisation (ATO), we also deliver Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) and specialised programmes to build a future-ready workforce. Our vision is to develop a resilient, and efficient waste management industry that drives sustainability, creates high-value jobs, and supports Singapore’s transition to a circular economy.
